Chapter 10: Configuring Windows XP
Its crucial to note that when you purchase a PC with software already installed, the manufacturer has probably taken several steps to be sure the PC works well. For example, all necessary drivers will be installed. Youll need to do some of these things yourself when you build your own PC. But, in so doing, youll know more about your PC and be a better PC troubleshooter in the future.
So now that we have completed the basic Windows XP installation, lets finish configuring the operating system so that it works in top form. A few things should be done. The order isnt particularly important.
