Please Help...I cannot get winmx to uninstall as it does not appear in the add/remove program list under the control panel. I also tried to use the winmx uninstall feature in the winmx program folder. I could not get it to do anything at all. So i seem to be stuck with winmx...what would happen if i just deleted the whole winmx program folder. I am running XP operating system and now I realize that winmx v2.6 was not designed for XP. It seems to be causing instabilities for me. Thanks for any suggestions.

hi candrews, if you are sure there is no other way of taking it off your puter then delete the folder, do a backup first. im on XP Pro and ive had the same probs with other programs and i had no probs in deleting the folder. if have a third party utils program that will track down all tracers of winmx use it.

forgive me, im young. Jiggy

you have a couple of options:

1.You can uninstall WinMX (and any other program that comes without an uninstaller)using any of the uninstallers shown at http://download.com.com/3150-2096-0-1-1.html?legacy=cnet

2.Just go to your C drive look in the Programs Folder then find WinMX and click on the uninstall icon, then it will be removed

3.Go to >start >all programs >accessories >system restore........and restore system to the day before you installed it
