I have tried to networkl befor ewith a mojor headache so I gave up. That was witrh the network cards, twist cable etc........
What I was wondering is can I connect my sons computer and mine so we can play games against each other? Something simple please, if
possible. I know that you can use a serial connection, bu twe are talking about 75 ft. What about using a usb cable
I'm using win 98se at the moment .

If you really want to go USB THIS (http://www.wown.com/j_helmig/usbmain.htm) link might get you goin'.

I have been using Serial to connect my Kids systems together for years
Using nothing more than an 8 wire cable( 100/50 feet long) 2 serial connectors two and a Null modem adapter

The longest USB cable I could find was 16 feet

So To do it with USB you would need to combine USB and ethernet
