I have two wireless laptops (one Centrino and one using the air card that came with the WAP below), both are 802.11G ready. I also have 3 other desktops cabled to the router below.

I'm using a Linksys WKPC54G Wireless access point with 4 port hub.

I can get on the net with all 5 PC's.

The wired desktops can see each other fine.

The wireless laptops can't see the wired desktops.

The wired desktops can't see the wireless laptops.

The wireless laptops can't see each other.

Anyone encountered this with wireless networking? I'd appreciate any tips.

All are XP machines.

can they ping each other? (the wireless laptops)
what IP are they getting assigned, or is it static?

do they show up using the command prompt command "net view"?
are firewalls involved?

do the wireless laptops have anything shared, to let them be displayed in my network places?

it could be a number of things.

To rule out an addressing issue, please tell us the IP address, as well as the subnet mask and default gateway of all of your network nodes. They should all be in the same subnet, as well as have the first three octets of the V4 IP address being identical. Your router IP should be (yournumber.yournumber.yournumber.1) and should also be set as the default gateway for each of your machines.

Otherwise I would be checking my Router Configuration menu for a likely candidate.

Also like Jimmy5K has suggested, try Pinging back and forth. If you can Ping succesfully between all of the machines, then they can in fact "see" each other, but you weill need to have some resources set up for sharing.
