Anyone heard of this?

Out of the blue tonite when I click on anything having to do with yahoo browser or messenger a window pops up with a picture of 2 keys in the upper left and it says "Connecting to radio1.us.music.vip.mud.yahoo.com" and has a space for user name and password. When I click cancel or try to close the window it keeps coming back. I have ZoneAlarm (don't say a word, I already paid for it) antivirus and firewall, ran a virus scan with no results, ran spybot and removed 3 spyware but they were usual ones, ran adaware which found nothing. I tried calling sbc tech support but he told me I would have to have it professionally removed after I told him I was concerned it was some type of spyware trying to get my password and username. So that was a waste of time. Anyone seen this? Thanks, angelnwyte

No...it could always be something new...so why not post a HijackThis (http://www.merijn.org/downloads.html) log and we'll see if we can find anything.

Click on the link mjc posted, look for "Official downloads" (in the middle near bottom) and look for "HijackThis", below "Currently at version: 1.99.1" click on a download link and save it to your desktop, once done double click the Hijack This icon on the desktop and click on "Do a system scan and save a logfile", once done copy and paste the complete log into the thread.

Wait for mjc or Budfred to look at your logfile.

I shut down yahoo messenger while I downloaded HiJackThis and now I am not getting the window anymore, but I thought I would post the log anyway just in case...hope I did it right...

Are you using msconfig to disable any startups?

If so, undo it and post a second log.

So sorry for being obtuse, when you say disable it, do you mean put it normal start up mode? I do have it customized so only my zone alarm comes on at startup

Yes...because using msconfig to hide start ups, instead of removing them or shutting them off thorough the main program can hide malware

The log is clean except you should be keeping the HJT folder in a permanent location. It's currently in a temporary place and backups made by HJT could be lost. I suggest you move your HJT folder to your main C: drive to keep everything safe.

Other than that if you are not experiencing any probelms you should be OK to go.
