I guess this is an uncommon request.
Here is my dilemma.

I connect to a free access point from home through powerful antenna.

The Host PC has two wireless adapter:

Adapter 1 is setup to connect only to the free access point.
Adapter 2 is setup to connect through peer to peer (or ad-Hoc) connection

The second computer has one wireless adapter:
The 3rd adapter is setup to connect through peer to peer to the host computer.

I have full connectivity with the two computers through peer to peer connection, ie. I can share files and more.

My problem is that I cannot share my Internet connection with the second computer.

I have Windows XP. None of the adapters are the same brand, they all are recent with the fastest (G) connection.
I use the Wireless windows configuration to set each adapter.

TCPIP
Adapter 1 = 192.168.0.1
Adapter 2 = 192.168.0.2
Adapter 3 = 192.168.0.3

When I want to share the internet connection of the adapter used to connect to my access point, it does not work (Internet Connection Sharing (ICS)):
Here is the message: " An error occurred while Internet Connection Sharing was being enabled. The specified service does not exist as an installed service"

It seems that the message is pretty clear: My Internet configuration does not work... since I am not connected directly through cable or modem???? I though that, in theory, it should work though???

AM I MISSING SOMETHING HERE?

TFG.

Probably a service dependency is set to disable. ICS requires windows firewall for instance. Right click My Computer, Click Manage, scroll down and expand Services and.., Click on Services, on the right hand side scroll to Windows Firewall and change it to automatic, right click the Windows Firewall line and click Start.. Try installing ICS again but read this first.
