I bought 2 units of CWCPE202612 HIgh Power Wireless Radio CPE, One is in AP mode and the other is in Client mode, both is operating in 2.4 ghz (b+g) band, got same SSID, same channel, I can see in the AP that it got an associated client 1 for which the mac address tells that it is the other CWCPE202612 in Client mode.
IN the Client Mode CWCPE202612, you can see that the status is connected. even in the site survey you can connect it successfully. The problem is .. if i use the client computer, i can ping the client wireless 202612 and replies with 100% but when i ping the AP it becomes 0% reply and vice versa. both computers has TCPIP protocols but still they wont communicate, so the client can't get internet access as well even when you try LAN game it would still fail. why aren't they communicating? What IP addresses should i put, i'm so noob about this one, infact this is my first time to establish wireless network. However, THis si my setup.
MY PC through 4 port router ( non wireless) one of the port is connected to the access point. then to the client unit.(both same product CWCPE202612) WHat gateway ip address should i put in the AP? same gateway IP as in the router? ( they have all same SM )
i have an DSL connection via cable modem, to the WAN port of my 4 port router(non wireless) then one of the port is connected to the AP. is this right?
What IP addresses should i put in the AP? , and and what ip addresses should i put in the client mode? how could i make them communicate properly? pls help. i can provide photo if you want. i'm desperate noob. need your help so bad.
