How to Delete something on my pc

I have an HP/Compaq PC which I reformatted recently. Windows Vista Home Premium. At the bottom of my PC there is a bar where the icons of the open programs should be, and there is a bar there with Yahoo! Search, which has a ZOOM icon next to it, which, when clicked takes me to a Yahoo Search Web Search site. I t also has an arrow for a sub menu listing things related to HP Advisor. Don't want to get rid of HP Advisor. I want to get rid of that bar. How can I do that? I've already uninstalled the Yahoo thing listed using CC Cleaner but that bar is still there. Have searched online for a solution and all i've been able to find related to a Yahoo bar speak of my space and how it relates to the Yahoo bar. I don't have a page on my space. Again, how do I delete/uninstall the thing?

That bar sounds like the Taskbar. The items within it being Taskbar Toolbars. Try Right Clicking on an empty part of the Taskbar and if there is a Toolbars sub-menu you should be able to enable/disable the items shown there.
