What is Amazon Prime Day?
A regular event in which Amazon Prime subscribers can get discounts on all kinds of products.
Prime Day’s original inception was to highlight and sort of celebrate Jeff Bezos’ anniversary as Amazon’s CEO – July 15, 2015. It has occurred every year since. Originally, the discounts were mainly in tech and general electronics, and instead of it being a fully structured event it was more of a ‘flash’ sale to give back to dedicated Amazon users.
Nowadays, Prime Day is bigger, and wider ranging, usually spanning over two full days. There’s a plethora of deals across a whole host of different categories, and there can be some ‘early’ discounts that too.
When is Prime Day?
Amazon Prime Day 2022 will be bringing this year’s round of deals to Prime members across July 12th – 13th. The event is back to a more familiar slot in the year, after a shift to October in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic – followed by June for 2021’s event.
