Next month is going to be big for AMD fans, as the company will be launching the Ryzen 9000 series processors. Everyone is looking forward to the new processors based on the Zen5 architecture, which are expected to offer better performance than their predecessors. While we wait for the next generation of CPUs to arrive, several retailers have slashed the prices of some current models, so you can grab them at a discounted price if you act quickly.
Perfect time to buy Ryzen 8000G processors
The Ryzen 8000G processors were released in January this year. The lineup consists of four processors – Ryzen 7 8700G, 5 8600G, 5 8500G, and 3 8300G. These processors feature up to 8 cores and 16 threads, and their boost frequency can go up to 5.1 GHz, depending on the model. AMD claims that these processors feature “high-performance power and intense graphics capabilities.” And if you’ve been toying with the idea of getting a processor from this series, now would be the perfect time. This is because except for the Ryzen 3 8300G, all three processors from the 8000G series are currently available at a discounted price on different retailers, including Amazon.
First, we have the Ryzen 7 8700G, which is the top variant in the series. It is currently listed for $299 on Amazon, which is 9% less than the original price of $329. Next, we have the Ryzen 5 8600G, which you can buy right now for only $199 from Amazon. It was previously listed for $229, so you save $30 on it. Finally, we have the Ryzen 5 8500G. This one is listed with an 11% discount, and you can get it for $159 instead of $179 from Amazon. Interestingly, this is the lowest price we’ve seen yet for these processors on Amazon. So, this is a great time to pick them up.
The Ryzen 8000G series isn’t the only one that’s getting a discount. Recently, the Ryzen 7900 XT, 7900 GRE, 7800 XT, and 7700 XT also got their prices slashed. On top of that, AMD is also running a campaign, as a part of which they are offering two free games with the purchase of RX 7800 XT or RX 7700 XT. You can choose two out of four games, which include Starfield, Lies of P, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and Company of Heroes 3. For those living in Japan, you’ll only get one game.
