New MSI next-gen Z890 and B860 motherboards for Intel CPU launch

With just a few weeks until Intel’s Arrow Lake-S Desktop CPUs are unveiled at Computex 2024, motherboard vendors have decided to prepare their next-gen products intended to feature the Intel 800 series chipsets, including Z890, H870, B870, and H810 designs. MSI is a leading competitor in the world of motherboards and within the device.report listing we can see that the company has solidified its place with the launch of a range of Intel 800-series boards like the MEG, MPG, MAG, and PRO series.

According to this report, MSI will offer 8 motherboards within the MSI Z890 motherboard line, including MEG GODLIKE, MEG ACE, Unify-X Carbon WIFI, Edge TI WIFI (+ Mini-ITX version), Tomahawk WIFI, and Z890-P WIFI. Both GODLIKE and ACE boards will likely sit at the higher end of the spectrum in terms of price; with the GODLIKE, being the flagship product, likely above the $1000 mark and the ACE around the $600 mark. Now let’s take a look at what the rest of the high-end MSI Z890 lineup has to offer:

  • MEG Z890 GODLIKE (E-ATX)
  • MEG Z890 ACE (ATX)
  • MEG Z890 UNIFY-X (ATX)
  • PRO Z890-P WIFI (ATX)
  • MPG Z890 EDGE TI WIFI (ATX)
  • MPG Z890 Carbon WIFI (ATX)
  • MPG Z890 EDGE YI WIFI (Mini-ITX)
  • MAG Z890 Tomahwak WIFI (ATX)

If you’re looking for a more budget-friendly option then one of the more mainstream MSI B860 designs may be a better option for you. These options include four boards that range from MAG to MPG, including the Mortar WIFI (mATX), Tomahwak WIFI, EDGE WIFI (Mini-ITX), and the EDGE Ti WIFI (mATX). As previously mentioned, these boards will hopefully provide more of a budget option, with prices ranging from $150-$300 and titles including:

  • MPG B860M EDGE TI WIFI (mATX)
  • MPG B860I EDGE WIFI (Mini-ITX)
  • MAG B860 Tomahawk WIFI (ATX)
  • MAG B860M Mortar WIFI (mATX)

Over the next few weeks, we should see more and more information being revealed about the specific designs of these motherboards, especially with Computex just around the corner. The Z890 and B860 Intel 800 series motherboard should be unveiled as well as the Intel Arrow Lake-S Desktop CPU lineup, and if like us you can’t wait, then make sure to keep up-to-date here on PC Guide as we’ll be announcing everything we hear on the topic.
