The Nvidia app, currently in beta, brings all the features from the Nvidia Control Panel, GeForce Experience, and RTX Experience apps within a single application. During Computex 2024, Nvidia announced that a bunch of new features are coming to the Nvidia app, and one of them will allow you to overclock your GPU with just a single click. So if you’ve got an Nvidia graphics card and access to the app, you’re good to go.

Overclocking can be seen as a difficult and complicated task for common PC users, which is one reason why most of them avoid doing it. This is because while it can boost the performance of your GPU, there is a chance of damaging your graphics card if you push it too far. However, Nvidia is soon going to change all of this, as they’re introducing a new feature that will let you tune and overclock your GPU instantly, in a user-friendly way.

Tuning options are available in the Performance tab in the Nvidia app and can be accessed through the System settings. This section will display your GPU’s name, power, temperature, voltage, VRAM clock, utilization, fan speed, and much more. Below this, there’s a toggle button next to ‘Automatic Tuning.’ When you click on this button, the app will start the tuning and overclocking process, which will take around 20 minutes to complete. Keep in mind that you’ll need to leave your PC alone during the process, as running an application in the background can interrupt it.

After the process is complete, you’ll get a list of changes made to your GPU. To ensure smooth operation, the Nvidia app will regularly scan your PC to ensure your GPU is running with the correct settings. The best part is that overclocking your GPU through the Nvidia app will not damage your GPU or invalidate its warranty; at least that’s what Nvidia claims. However, the company does mention that overclocking can cause your PC to become unstable or show visual artifacts on the screen. If that happens, you can go back to the Nvidia app and click on the toggle button to turn it off.
